It’s our DAY moms! The second Saturday in May is a super special day for our family and our team — we wanted to send a HUGE Happy Dog Mom’s Day to all of the amazing fur mamas out there! We believe that every dog mom deserves a day of pampering, love and celebration! So to celebrate this special occasion, we want to shine a light on all of our furry clients and their loving moms. From loyal companions to snuggle buddies, our fur-kids have brought so much joy and companionship into our lives, and we can't help but feel grateful for their unwavering love. Here at The Barkday Planner & Buster’s Party Shop, we are lucky enough to work with a wide range of pets and their parents, all of whom share a special bond that we are honored to be a part of! Below are just a few of the special moms and their fur-babies whom we get to celebrate with!
It’s a dog mom thing

First up, we have our dear friend Davis and his mom, Kelsey! Davis is a spirited Doodle boy with a love for cuddles and all the treats! His mom Kelsey (That Balloon Girl) dotes on him endlessly, making sure he gets plenty of playtime, exercise and all the over-the-top birthdays! Together, they love to go on long walks and explore Houston with their doodle friends, soaking up the sun and fresh air.

First of all that’s my child!
Next, we have Charlee River and her mom, Shawna! Charlee is a sweet, lovable Mini Goldendoodle who never fails to brighten up our day with her wagging tail and oh so adorable smile. Shawna is just as warm and friendly, and we know that she and Charlee share a special connection that goes beyond words.

I’m a DOG MOM!!!
And who could forget about Sonny and his mom, Mary?! Sonny is a handsome and goofy Goldendoodle boy who loves nothing more than going everywhere with his mom and if there’s water, he’s THERE. Mary is patient, sweet and gentle, and we can tell that she takes her role as a dog mom very seriously!
Top Reasons to celebrate dog moms
As a proud dog mom of seven, I often hear comments like "Oh, it's just a dog" or "You don't have kids, so it's not the same." But I'm here to tell you that being a dog mom is just as important and fulfilling as being a human mom.
Dog Moms Laugh at the “Ruff” Stuff — Of course being a dog mom isn’t all fun and games. There are plenty of challenges too - like dealing with muddy paws, the occasional accident on the ONE piece of carpet in the entire house, or eating your presentation notes. Whatever it is we always find a way to remain patient in those moments. It’s hard to stay mad at those adorable furry faces! Daily enrichment and a routine are key parts of our regimen. Ensuring they are mentally and physically fulfilled!
Dog Moms Ensure their Kiddos are Living their Best Life — From the moment you bring that little fur ball into your home, you become their protector, their guide, their comforter. It’s not just about making sure they have enough food and water; it’s about making sure they’re living their BEST LIFE! Giving them all the love, attention and care they deserve and more. Understanding their unique needs and quirks, and doing everything in your power to help them live their best life possible. Keep on keeping on you amazing fur-mamas!
Dog Moms Dig It — Have you ever met a dog mom who doesn’t love being a dog mom? I think NOT! The unconditional love they provide is unmatched, and it’s no wonder that dog moms cherish every moment spent with them. We take pride in caring for our kiddos, and we love watching them grow and develop into loyal companions. We’re not only their mom, we’re their momager on Instagram, their personal chef and we eat it UP on the daily! We love showing off our kids to friends and family, and if you know me I will bust out the photos. So if you know a dog mom, give them a shoutout!
Dog Moms Never Give Up Hope — We feel blessed to live with dogs for all the cherished years we have with them. Even in their senior years, we’re there for all the challenging conditions and will do anything we can to ensure their comfort. Dog moms never give up hope, because we know that even the most “ruff” obstacles can be overcome. And as their loving mom, we’re there to support them every step of the way!
